What does it mean when you say North Kitsap Auto Rebuild has been pre-authorized as a Direct Repair Facility?

It means the above insurance companies trust us to write the original estimate using the estimating system that the insurance company uses. We take digital pictures of the damage and download all the information directly to the insurance claim center. This saves the insurance company time and money because that is work that the adjuster doesn’t have to do.

The parts can be pre-ordered and the repair scheduled at the time of the estimate. When you pick up your vehicle, you inspect the quality of the repair, your deductible is collected, and the final bill is downloaded to the insurance company for payment of repairs.

What does it mean if your insurance carrier is not on the list?

You still only need to get our estimate, but your vehicle may need to also be inspected by one of their appraisers. This is either done when your vehicle is brought to our shop for repairs or when you bring your vehicle to them to inspect. If you bring your vehicle to them for inspection, tell them that you want your vehicle repaired at North Kitsap Auto Rebuild. Under state law, that choice is entirely yours and you don’t have to take your vehicle to another shop.
